Care leavers do not receive priority for social housing

Care leavers do not get to practice independent living with taster flats

Hillingdon will not in principle assist as a guarantor for care leavers in private rented property

Hillingdon in principle will assist with providing a deposit for care leavers in private rented property

Setting up a home

Care leavers are provided with a setting up allowance

Allowance amount: ££2000.50.

Access to the peer leadership scheme, a targeted programme - AIMS offers mentoring-based personal development programmes for adolescents aged 11-19 (up to 25 with SEND), providing support to overcome challengers to their personal, academic and social progressions.
University mentoring available from established and trained students at Brunel University.
