Additional information about work and training:
All young people are supported by an EET advisor from Newham Virtual School. They will received support and guidance as required, personal advisors, foster carers, placements providers and young people are emailed monthly with an EET bulletin which caters for education, training and employment opportunities across all areas of interest. We have half term activities for all care leavers and Looked After Children to participate with. We run weekly wellbeing workshops and running a housing project with young people who are in their own accommodation to support them once they have moved into accommodation. All young people in full time education at statutory school age to year 13 are supported with full Personal Education Plans. They are allocated to an EET worker to work through the educational journey with each young pers. All NEET young people are invited to an EET workshop where we work in partnership with local providers who will offer training, employment and apprenticeships with step by step training offered by Newham Virtual School to ensure everyone is offered an individual plan of action to become EET regardless of the barriers.
In additional to this we run a mentoring programme for all care leavers and Looked After Children with ongoing training and engagements with young people. We have also created a peer-mentoring programme.

Christmas party every year to celebrate everyone’s achievements – this has happened in the past and will be looking at relaunching this once the COVID restriction are fully lifted.
Summer ESOL classes and a part time timetable offering ESOL and wellbeing session with inclusive activities including trips to London and attending football matches.
