Council Tax
Waltham Forest has exempted care leavers from Council Tax
Council tax is exempted up to the age of: 21

To apply care leavers need to:
Young people need to ensure they have their council tax number and then apply to the council directly to get support from the council to reduce their liability to nil

Care leavers receive priority for social housing

Young people are supported by their LCC to apply for their council accommodation
Care leavers do not get to practice independent living with taster flats
