Housing
Care leavers receive priority for social housing
Priority is offered up to the age of: 21
Banding priority is: 1 or Flintshire and if they apply to other LA’s this is assessed and banded as per their protocols.

Care leavers do not get to practice independent living with taster flats

Yes and housing offer ‘Spend to Save’ budget and the Bond Scheme which is a cashless deposit (however this is rarely accepted by landlords).

We did start the ‘Boost Project’ which offered work placement, however this scheme never really came into fruition. We feel that there is a gap here in what we are offering to our care leavers
