Our Champions Board meet as a group weekly and have regular contact with Corporate Parents and Elected Members through various different ways. Champions Board host events & activities where all children and young people with Care Experience come together to have some fun and spend meaningful time together. Care Leavers also sit on the Corporate Parenting Strategy Group, share information through Council meetings and at times are involved in interviewing new staff for Stirling Council and commissioning of new services. Our Chief Social Work Officer visits our 16+ group regularly as does our Elected Member who is the chair of the Children and Young Peoples committee. The Provost also offers huge support to our young people on our Champions Board.

Details of council:
Our Champions Board cover an age range of 5-26 years. We have three groups that meet weekly. 5-10 years, 11-15 years and 16+. The groups will all come together for regular fun sessions. Any Child or young person can access these groups and there is no waiting list. Children and young people can also get involved in our many activities and do not have to participate in our groups to be able to come along.

Stirling Council pays towards Christmas and other religious celebrations for care leavers
Details:
Social Work and The Champions Board work in collaboration at Christmas time to ensure as many Care Leavers receive a Christmas Eve box full of goodies and a gift voucher which is delivered to them personally
